Mechanical Engineering

Overview

  • Mechanical Engineering Department was established in 2019. The department has 06 regular well qualified faculties who are the alumni of reputed institution like IITs, NITs and 02 supporting staff members.

  • All the laboratories are equipped with latest instruments and experimental setups, lab records, lab manuals, User manuals, journals etc.  Relevant software’s are installed on all the desktops in CAD laboratories.

  • The department provides assistance in field projects, internships in various industries. Industrial visits are arranged to various industries to familiar with practical knowledge. Students are also encouraged to participate in Value Added Training Programs and Extension Activities organized at institute levels.

  • The department runs an association MESA which organizes technical seminars, guest lectures, workshops, personality development programs such as communication skills, Social activities such as Blood donation camps etc. This association provides a platform for developing leadership and organizing skills among the students.

  • A grievances cell is formed in the department and suggestions are accepted from the students for future actions.

  • Course offered: B.E. Mechanical Engineering Intake: 60 Students.

Objective & Outcome

Objectives: The objective of the Mechanical Department at Indala College of Engineering is to provide students with a comprehensive education in mechanical engineering. Our curriculum covers subjects such as thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, machine design, manufacturing processes, and robotics. We aim to produce graduates who are skilled in applying mechanical principles to real-world engineering challenges.

Outcomes: Upon completion of their studies in the Mechanical Department, students at Indala College of Engineering will:

  • Possess a strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles, including thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer.

  • Apply engineering analysis techniques to design and optimize mechanical systems.

  • Demonstrate proficiency in using CAD/CAM software and other tools for engineering design and manufacturing processes.
